Talk: Everest Base Camp – My journey, from a mountaineering layman
A presentation by Mike Jones MBE highlighting his experience of the Everest Base Camp Trek without any technical references.
Mike Jones MBE, ex-soldier and retired police officer is chair of Gwent County, Royal British Legion. He is presently leading a project to have a war memorial erected in Goytre to commemorate the fallen from the area in conflicts during and since World War I.
A voluntary collection will be taken during this event, to be donated to Gwent County, Royal British Legion.
