This 11 or so mile circuit of Bal Mawr in the Black Mountains takes the usual path up Bal Mawr but after a short distance heads off left into Llanthony Wood (lots of bluebells) and ascends to the ridge via the pretty little valley below Graig Ddu. Linear Walk In the Malvern Hills. Great Malvern back to Ledbury along the ridge 24km/15 miles. 1245m/4100ft ascent. Meet 10am. Ledbury train station (SO 709385) to catch 10.20am train to Great Malvern. Cost £6.10 approx.

Coppett Hill Start: The walk starts from a car park ref: SO 581 188 which is just south of Kerne Bridge and "The Inn on the Wye" on the west side of the B4234. On the OS 1/25,000 scale map it is immediately adjoining the site marked "Adventure Activities". Pub: Inn on the Wye
