Walk: Practice map-reading and finding your way, 14km/8miles, 400m/1300feet ascent (Easy)

November 2 @ 09:30 - 17:00

Join Alex for a training day in the Brecon Beacons to practice map-reading and finding your way. This will be a leisurely, meandering walk with plenty of time to brush up navigation and way-finding skills as we work our way from one landscape feature to the next. This will be a practical session with lots of stops, so wrap up warmly for the conditions. All party members will have the opportunity to take part.

Start 9:30am. Meet at car parking, north end of Pontsticill Reservoir. OS Explorer Map OL12 grid reference SO 054143.

Head torch required. Map required (OS Explorer OL12). Compass desirable.

For your safety and the safety of other members, we advise minimum personal equipment requirements for all our walks.
