Walk: Pen Allt Mawr and Pen Cerrig-calch. 16km/10miles, 770m/2530ft ascent (Moderate, just)

Our walk, which is at the lower end of the moderate grade, begins from the High School / Leisure Centre car park in Crickhowell (9:30am. OS Explorer map OL13, grid reference SO 216185).
We will walk out of Crickhowell following the Beacons Way as it makes its way towards the southwest corner of Pen Cerrig Calch, where we will ascend the Darren. Near the top we will skirt the steep-sided bowl that is Cwm Mawr (Great Cwm) towards the subsidiary summit of Pen Gloch-y-pibwr before eventually reaching Pen Allt-mawr summit (719m). From here we will turn towards Pen Cerrig-calch (701m). After briefly touching the trig point on Pen Cerrig-calch we will descend towards Table Mountain and so back to Crickhowell.
