Walk: Parc Cwm Darran to Parc Penallta linear walk. 16km/10m, 450m/1500ft ascent (Easy/Moderate)
Starting with a short train ride from Ystrad Mynach to Pontlottyn station. Walk from Pontlottyn to Rhiw Cantorion, Parc Cwm Darran onto Cefn Gelligaer & Fforest Gwladys. Then following the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway to Gelligaer & Parc Penallta back to the start.
16km/10miles, 450m/ 1500 feet ascent.
Start 9.10am at Ystrad Mynach train station.
Train departs at 9.25am, cost £3.80. Parking is free at this station. OS Map 166 GR ST 142943.
