Evening Walk: Glanusk Estate 4.8 miles
From the starting point at Crickhowell car park, our walk begins as we head towards the historic Crickhowell Castle. After exploring the castle grounds, we proceed to Bullpit Meadow before following the serene River Usk upstream. The journey takes us as far as the picturesque Glanusk Estate. From there, we follow the permissive footpath leading to West Lodge, where we join the Brecon and Monmouth canal at bridge 121.
Continuing along the canal towpath, we make our way to bridge 119, where we depart and take a charming footpath to The Dardy. From The Dardy, we follow a minor road and another footpath to Crickhowell’s iconic river bridge. Crossing the river, we then take Bridge Street and High Street, bringing us back to our starting point at the car park.
