Evening walk: Cotterell Hill 4.5miles

June 19 @ 19:00 - 21:30
The route is circular and about 4.5 miles. It offers superb views in all directions and includes open ground, woodland and a beautiful section of the Wye Valley near Symonds Yat.
It takes in Cotterill Hill, which rises to 200 plus metres. From the O.S trig point we have a long descent to Welsh Bicknor Church  and a YH next to the Wye. We then ascend through woodland back along a lane to Goodrich for possible refreshments.

We start at “Ye Hostelerie” 16th C pub in the centre of Goodrich. SO 575 195.
Goodrich is reached off the A40 just past Whitchurch by taking the B4229. Follow brown signs for Goodrich Castle. Roger has permission for us to use the car park (just before the pub on the right side of the lane). If the car park is full, it is okay to use the school car park situated about 100 yards south of the pub.

Please let Roger know if you’re attending.
For your safety and the safety of other members, we advise minimum personal equipment requirements for all our walks.
