A lively Gower weekend saw Gwent MC members hitting both rock and tide.
Thirteen climbers opened Saturday at Three Cliffs, where Martin and Mike ticked the classic Scavenger, Maddie sharpened her leading, and new member Tom followed Ian up Under Milkwood after declaring his love of adventure climbing. Even the crag dog Twm kept things chilled.

Sunday split the team: four headed for trad at Lewes Castle while eleven worked Shipwreck and Castaway coves before shifting to Mermaid Wall. Matt earned praise for pushing 6b in sandals and barefoot, several members logged the 50@50 routes Dawsons Corner and Fistful of Tenners, and Tom was duly initiated into the “dark side” of sport climbing. The day wrapped only when the tide forced a retreat — straight to a well‑earned post‑climb beer.
A cracking weekend of climbing, laughs and good company.
