DESCRIPTION:Mark will be leading a hard walk of approximately 25km/15miles\, 600m/2000ft ascent in the Fforest Fawr area. \nThe walk is a mixture of paths/tracks and some steep rough grassland. Suitable footwear and clothing/spares to suit the group walking speed are required and gaiters and poles are a good idea. \nThe route goes west to Carnau Gwynion  before heading north to join Sarn Helen and into Cwm Du and the summit of Fan Frynych. It then follows the high ground to Fan Dringarth  and Fan Llia. We’ll descend eastwards to cross the Ystradfellte dam then pick up the path south to Pont ar Llia and back to the start. \nMeeting point is the village car park (free) in Ystradfellte\, OS Explorer Map OL12\, grid reference SN929134 for a 10.00am start. \nPlease let Mark know by email or Whatsapp if you intend to join the walk.

DESCRIPTION:Join Dave on this clockwise circuit of Dyffryn Crawnon starting at Llangynidr car park taking in the Chartist Cave and Tor Y Foel. \nThe route is likely to be very muddy so gaiters recommended. Although the overall route is graded as Moderate\, some might feel it warrants a grading of Hard given the rough ground in areas and conditions underfoot given the recent weather. \nWe’ll begin at 10am (British Summer Time!) from the car park in Llangynidr (please bring cash for the honesty box).
