DESCRIPTION:We depart heading for Elvicta Industrial Estate. We then follow the footpath that skirts the Industrial Estate to the River Usk. We follow the footpath to Cwrt Y Gollen. We skirt around the Training Area and proceed through Rheld Wood. We intercept the Crickhowell to Llangenny road. We follow the road to Llangenny for 200 meters. We take the Bridleway to Belfountain Park. We do a circuit of Bluebell Woods and follow the road to Crickhowell. \nDrinks in The Bear OL13/161 SO217184 afterwards. \nDistance 6 km 800m/ 4 ½ miles. \nPlease let Mark know if you’re coming. \nMeet at Crickhowell car park\, OL13/161 SO218184. Parking at Crickhowell car park is free between 18:00 and 08:00. \nBring a headtorch.

SUMMARY:Evening walk: Gwaelod & The Garth. 5miles/8km\, 900ft/275m ascent
DESCRIPTION:Join Mick on this delightful and varied route taking in the River Taff\, a fairly steep ascent to the Garth plateau via the North East spur footpath and onto the Trig Point (307m). A a more gentle descent via fields & woodland back to Gwaelod y Garth Inn ( Camera Award Winning Hostelry). Approx 5 miles/8km and 900ft/275m of ascent.\n\nOS Explorer Map 151 / 1:25000\, grid reference 117833.\nwhat3words : extend.wire.blame\n\nStart at 6pm. \nSuggest parking off road at the entrance to Garth Tyres & Autos \, on the right as you enter Gwaelod y Garth Village just after houses on the right. Please Do Not go up the road towards main part of the village (restricted parking). The garage should be closed for business\,  so parking allowed.\n\nPub final food order 8pm\, so we will make sure we complete walk by 7.50pm if people are wanting to eat as well as have a drink afterwards and we can vary route after Garth summit accordingly.\n\nPlease let Mick know if you’re coming by text or WhatsApp (see recent email for his mob number).
