SUMMARY:Outdoor climbs: '50@50' climbing special! Celebrating 50 years of Gwentmc
DESCRIPTION:Calling all climbers! As part of the club’s 50th anniversary\, a second climbing event is being planned- this one is outdoors. \nThe premise is to climb as many routes as you can between 1st April 2026 and the 15th August 2026. We need a list of the 50 best routes from the Wye Valley to Pembroke before April please. The routes can range from 4 to E2 ie. be fairly inclusive with the midrange going to be the most popular. There will be no leeway on the grades even if some E3’s in Pembroke are world class! \nThe BMC are aware of our celebrations and photos of climbs will be needed. \nReply to John Jones directly on WhatsApp and join the ’50 routes’ WhatsApp chat. \nOnce the routes are finalised we’ll publish a PDF of them. Get thinking and get some finger tape!

SUMMARY:Club trip: The Skerries / Ynysoedd y Moelrhoniad
DESCRIPTION:The Skerries / Ynysoedd y Moelrhoniad are a group of sparsely vegetated rocky islets lying 3 kilometres offshore from Anglesey. In hill-bagging terms\, they represent the last tick in the list of Huws – 100 great Welsh hills under 2\,000 feet. As well as ticking a summit\, there are opportunities for bird-watching and seal spotting. \nRob\, the organiser of this trip has obtained special permission to land for a few hours and has arranged a charter boat from Holyhead (£70 fare per passenger). \nThe visit\, which is weather dependent\, will take place for one day during the period 17th – 19th April 2026. This is a three-day window of opportunity\, allowing participants to be in the area waiting for the right weather conditions. \nParticipants will need make their own arrangements for accommodation and travel.
